Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Michael Alan Knight, DDS
Dr. Knight was born and raised in Eastman, Georgia. He graduated high school from Dodge County High School in 1980. He attended Middle Georgia College, and later graduated from the University of Georgia in 1984 with a bachelor degree in psychology. He entered dental school in 1984 at Emory University. As Emory's last graduating dental class, Dr. Knight graduated first clinically in his class in 1988. He began his own solo practice in Eastman shortly after that.
Dr. Knight was a community dentist for over 25 years before taking a short retirement in 2016. In 2017, he began his own dental office chain branded American Dental of Georgia. In 2018, his son, Michael, joined the company to fulfill a life long dream of working together. To date, American Dental now encompasses two other dental companies and five offices, with Eastman being the fifth addition. In 2019, he was appointed to the Georgia Board of Dentistry by Governor Brian Kemp.
Dr. Knight's dental experience is vast with a particular emphasis on implants, IV sedation, exodontia, and orthodontic procedures including Invisalign.
Dr. Knight is a family man who enjoys spending time with each member of his family. He enjoys working on his farm and cattle farming with his youngest son, Thomas.
Dr. Gilbert, DMD
A proud graduate of the Emory University School of Dentistry, Dr. Gilbert brings years of experience, clinical excellence, and a warm, personalized approach to patient care. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, staying at the forefront of modern dental techniques and technology.
From preventive care to advanced implant procedures, Dr. Gilbert is committed to helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, beautiful smiles in a comfortable and caring environment.
